Meet your Hosts

  • Kayla Rohrer

    FOUNDER & AUTHOR

Kayla first felt the call to share her story in 2010, with the hope of encouraging others on their own journeys. After fifteen years of dedication, her passion project—The Bravest Thing I’ve Ever Said—is now in production. Along the way, that dream gave birth to Brave Haven, a podcast created to hold space for honest conversations and to remind survivors, again and again, that their voices matter. She hopes you will find comfort here.

  • "June"

    CO-HOST

June is a dear friend and fellow survivor who helped turn Kayla’s “wild idea” of starting a podcast into reality. Without her, Brave Haven would just be Kayla talking into the void. She brings joy, humor, and compassion to every conversation—asking thoughtful questions, sharing her experience, and pulling out a soapbox when needed. June deeply cares for people—including you—and hopes this podcast opens the door to honest, healing conversations.

Debut Author Kayla Rohrer

Author of The Bravest Thing I’ve Ever Said

Releasing early 2026!

This book is a Christian testimony of moving from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse to healing and redemption in Christ.

Raised in a home where silence was survival, Kayla carried a secret that threatened to break her. But God, in His mercy, brought light into the darkness—leading her to courage, truth, and a path toward justice and healing.

This upcoming book invites survivors and allies to step into a story of hope, restoration, and the power of God’s redeeming love.
