Who Are We?
At Brave Haven, we believe God brings light into the darkest places. Through honest conversations, biblical truth, and Christ-centered encouragement, we walk alongside survivors and those who love them, pointing one another toward the hope and comfort found in Jesus Christ.
Mission Statement: He comforts us so we can comfort others. (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)

Kayla Rohrer
FOUNDER & HOST
Kayla first felt the call to share her story in 2010. She hopes that being honest about her own experiences will encourage others to step out of hiding, find words for experiences they’ve struggled to communicate, and discover that even the hardest stories can be met with the hope and comfort of Christ.
Through Brave Haven, she also hopes to equip those who love survivors to respond with greater understanding, biblical wisdom, and Christlike love.

AJ Rohrer
CO-HOST
As the husband of a survivor, AJ brings a spouse’s perspective to conversations about relationships, understanding, and the challenges and joys of loving someone with a history of trauma.
AJ hopes the insights he shares will add useful tools to your toolbox as you seek to love and encourage the survivors in your own life, while pointing toward the wisdom and hope found in Christ.

"June"
CO-HOST for SEASON ONE
Not pictured to protect her privacy.
June is a fellow survivor who helped make Brave Haven a reality. During Season One, she asked thoughtful questions, shared her own experiences, and occasionally pulled down a soapbox during our conversations.
Her enthusiasm brought energy and warmth to the room, helping the podcast feel like a conversation rather than one woman talking into the void. We are thankful for the role she played in those foundational conversations.
